जीवन सूत्र (Jeevan Sutra)

षड्दोषाः पुरुषेणेह हातव्या भूतिमिच्छिता ।
निद्रा तन्द्रा भयं क्रोधं आलस्यं दीर्घसूत्रता ।। { सुभाषित भाण्डागार ~ १६९-४४१ }

ऐश्वर्य व उन्नति चाहने वाले मनुष्य को इस संसार में इन छह दोषों का अवश्य परित्याग करना चाहिए । निद्रा, तन्द्रा (जागरूक न रहना), भय, क्रोध, आलस्य और दीर्घसूत्रता (कार्य को टालते रहना) ।


The person who wants to prosper must shun the six vices in this world. Sleeping, not being aware, fear, anger, laziness, and procrastination. { Subhaashita Bhandagaar ~ 169-441}

अतिपरिचयादवज्ञा संततगमनादनादरो भवति ।
लोकः प्रयागवासी कूपे स्नानं समाचरति ।। { सुभाषित भाण्डागार ~ १७६-७२२ }

सदा प्रसन्नं मुखामिष्टवाणी सुशीलता च स्वजनेषु सख्यम् ।
सतां प्रसङः कुलहीनहानं चिह्नानी देहे त्रिदिवस्थितानाम ।। { सुभाषित भाण्डागार - १७४ }

सदा प्रसन्न मुख रहना, प्रिय वचन बोलना, सुशीलता, आत्मीयजनों में प्रेम भाव, सज्जनों का संग, और नीचों की उपेक्षा - ये सभी स्वर्ग में रहने वालों के लक्षण हैं ।

Always having a cheerful countenance, speaking soothing words, well behaved manners, love towards one's fellow beings, and paying no attention to corrupt and mean people - these are the characteristics of persons living in heaven. { Subhaashita Bhandagaar ~ 174 }

अजरामरवत प्राज्ञो विद्यामर्थञ्च चिन्तयेत !
गृहीत इव केशेषु मृत्युना धर्ममाचरेत !! { सुभाषित भाण्डागार ~ १६९-४२७ }

बुद्धिमान मनुष्य स्वयं को चिरयुवा एवं अमर मानकर विद्या एवं धन के उपार्जन के लिए सदैव प्रयत्नशील रहे, और मृत्यु सदैव मेरे केशों को पकड़ कर खड़ी है यह मानकर धर्म के पालन के लिए सदैव प्रयत्नशील रहे !

A wise man should make efforts to acquire knowledge and attain wealth considering himself always young and deathless, and should make efforts to acquire Dharma considering that the death is always clutching his hair. {Subhaashita Bhandagaar ~ 169-427}

अमन्त्रमक्षरम नास्ति नास्ति मूलमनौषधम ।
अयोग्यः पुरूषोनास्ति योजकस्तत्रदुर्लभः ।। { सुभाषित भाण्डागार ~ १६३-१५८ }

ऐसा कोई भी अक्षर नहीं जिससे मंत्र का निर्माण न किया जा सके, ऐसी कोई मूल (जड़ी बूटी ) नहीं जिसे औषधी के रूप में प्रयोग में ना लाया जा सके। ऐसा कोई भी पुरूष नहीं जो पूर्णतया अयोग्य हो, परन्तु उसका नियोजनकर्ता ही दुर्लभ होता है।

There is no letter which can't be transformed into Mantra, there is not a single herb which can't be used as a medicinal cure. There is not a single person which is absolutely useless, only the one who can utilize (manage) this person is hard to find. {Subhaashita Bhandagaar ~ 163-158}

पठतो नास्ति मूर्खत्वं जपतो नास्ति पातकम् !
मौनिनः कलहो नास्ति, न भयम चास्ति जाग्रतः !! { सुभाषित भाण्डागार ~ १५८-५ }

पढ़ने वाले (अध्ययनशील) मनुष्यों में मूर्खता नहीं होती है, जप करने वालों में पातक (पाप) नहीं होते हैं, मौन धारण करने वालों में कलह (झगड़े) नहीं होता है, और जागते (सजग, सावधान) रहने वालों में भय नहीं होता है !

One who always reads (studies) is devoid of ignorance & foolishness, one who always keeps chanting holy words is devoid of bad Karma (past sins), one who maintains silence is devoid of any conflicts & fights, one who is always awake (aware) is devoid of any fear. { Subhaashita Bhandagaar ~ 158-5 }
